Meet Ashwin

Ashwin is a Venture Partner at Eclipse, where he works with entrepreneurs at the earliest stage to build and scale the next generation of businesses that redefine the way healthcare and life science technologies are designed, developed, and deployed.

Ashwin fundamentally believes that the most transformative technologies are built by the smallest teams. Unique and diverse perspectives, combined with the courage to challenge the status quo, is what enables these nimble teams to compete with and topple industry behemoths. Prior to joining Eclipse, Ashwin was the founder and CEO of Sano, a medical device company that built minimally-invasive sensing technologies to push the boundaries of continuous diagnostics in the life science industry. Sano was acquired by One Drop in 2020, where Ashwin led the development and commercialization efforts for products combining novel diagnostics, predictive analytics, and care delivery for diabetes and cardiovascular disease patients worldwide.

Ashwin has a B.S. and an M.S. in Bioengineering, as well as a B.A. in Economics, from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in New York, but proudly reps his Bay Area roots (go Niners / Dubs / Gigantes!)In his free time, he enjoys cycling, playing tennis, and honing his amateur chef skills.
