    Greg Reichow

    Greg Reichow

    Greg is drawn to early-stage, technical teams tackling complex hardware problems.

    He has spent his career building and leading teams to help scale multifaceted products from initial concept to high-volume production. Greg was Tesla’s executive leader of global manufacturing, factory/automation engineering, supply chain, and product excellence. While at Tesla, he led growth from low-volume Roadster production to the fully integrated manufacturing of the Model S and X and a revenue run rate exceeding $8B.

    Prior to Tesla, Greg was the Senior Vice President of Operations at SunPower and led the growth of manufacturing operations from pilot scale to more than $2B in annual revenue. In this role, he was responsible for the rapid implementation and growth of advanced silicon, cell, and panel manufacturing operations globally. Earlier in his career, Greg held various roles in manufacturing and quality in the semiconductor industry.

    Greg has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Outside of work, Greg enjoys developing software, diving, and mountain biking.

    Aidan Madigan-Curtis

    Aidan Madigan-Curtis

    Aidan is a true frontierswoman — not only as a trail-running Canadian originally from the rugged Rocky Mountains, but also as a leader of world-class teams at Apple and Samsara that have pushed the boundaries of the digital-physical technology frontier. From scaling manufacturing operations from zero to millions of weekly units for the first-ever AppleWatch, to growing Samsara’s connected operations platform to hyperscale and the 20,000+ customer business it is today, Aidan knows what it takes to build and scale full-stack companies.

    Aidan is a deep believer in technologies that help the industrial and healthcare sectors transcend traditional physical-digital divides. She’s built businesses that utilize cutting-edge techniques in computer vision for workplace safety and security, paired minds with the world’s pre-eminent experts in sensor, mobile and wearable device manufacturing to bring new innovative manufacturing practices to market, and scaled cellular, cloud, support and 3PL operations and infrastructure for millions of IoT connected devices.

    While Aidan loves bringing new technologies to market, she is equally — if not more — passionate about providing access to capital and leadership roles for underrepresented groups across a diverse spectrum of talent. She was a founding member of Samsara’s DEI committee and co-founded and led Samsara’s PRIDE employee resource group to a 300+ membership scale.

    Aidan has a BA in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

    Kushagra Vaid

    Kushagra Vaid

    Throughout his career, Kushagra has been an influential change agent driving innovative new technologies from early concept to scale production. Kushagra is passionate about investing in next generation Cloud and Edge infrastructure, which he believes is a foundational bedrock enabler for the massive Digital Transformation underway across all sectors of our economy. He is an engineer at heart and is drawn to founders who think outside the box and are tackling hard technical problems to open up new markets.

    Previously, as VP and Distinguished Engineer in Microsoft’s Azure Division, Kushagra was responsible for the vision, strategy and execution for the cloud-datacenter infrastructure that hosts Azure’s global scale services. He played a pivotal role in Microsoft’s success as a leading hyperscale public-cloud operator and remains a recognized industry leader on infrastructure innovation and open-source hardware. Kushagra represented Microsoft on the Open Compute Project Board of Directors, and continues to be a strategic advisor to the Global Semiconductor Alliance.

    Prior to joining Microsoft in 2007, Kushagra was a Principal Engineer at Intel for over a decade, where he built leading-edge microprocessor silicon and architected Enterprise platform hardware. He has published over 25 research papers in international conferences and holds more than 30 patents in chip and system designs.

    Kushagra is also on the industry advisory board for the Computer Science Department at SUNY Binghamton, where he earned his MS. In his free time, Kushagra enjoys photography, traveling and baking artisan bread.

    Angela Hayward

    Angela Hayward

    Angela is an Operating Partner at Eclipse managing investor and portfolio relations including fundraising strategy, limited partner relations, company communications, and community outreach. She joined the team from Formation 8.

    Prior to joining Formation 8, Angela was the director of the Stanford Entrepreneurship Network. While there, she mentored Stanford entrepreneurs, developed a robust network of investors and strategic advisors, and led the communications and outreach strategy. Additionally, she was a board member of BASES, the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students.

    Angela joined Stanford from Khosla Ventures, where she was a member of Pierre Lamond’s team, working closely with both the wider investment team and portfolio companies. Angela began her career as a marketing strategist for McCann Worldgroup, where she conducted market and consumer research for such brands as Microsoft, HP, Cathay Pacific, and The Boys and Girls Club of America.

    Jay Knafel

    Jay Knafel

    Jay believes the world’s enduring businesses are grounded in their desire to create non-zero sum outcomes for all stakeholders.

    If founders and their companies create a tremendous value proposition for their customers, while building a purpose-driven culture that motivates and cares for their employees, amazing outcomes are possible. Jay has spent his career searching for these outlier businesses and technologies. At Eclipse Ventures, he is most energized when he can partner with founders that share this vision.

    Jay seeks to identify businesses at an inflection point in their business model. His experience in later-stage capital markets has led him to focus on early-growth investments at Eclipse.

    Prior to joining Eclipse. Jay was a growth investor at Fidelity Management & Research Company. He began his career specializing in healthcare, investing globally. He then moved on to work alongside a team of growth-focused portfolio managers. On that team he spearheaded investments across multiple industries including TMT, industrials and infrastructure.

    In his free time, Jay is passionate about the outdoors. He’ll have a smile on his face when he is on a bike or in his trail-running shoes.

    Lani Murphy

    Lani Murphy

    Lani manages finance and accounting operations for Eclipse Ventures.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Lani worked as a Senior Manager at Standish Management providing fund administration support to various private equity and venture capital clients. At Standish, she was responsible for overseeing and coordinating various fund operations including the financial reporting process.

    Lani began her career in the assurance practice at Deloitte where she focused on venture capital audits. She is a CPA and earned her B.S. in Accounting from Santa Clara University.

    Matt Mulvey

    Matt Mulvey

    Matt’s passion is working alongside founders who reject the status quo. He looks for teams creating a premium product or experience that modernizes the traditional way of doing things. Matt is focused on expanding Eclipse’s expertise investing in transformative technologies across supply chain, logistics, construction, industrials, agriculture, robotics, manufacturing and compute.

    Prior to Eclipse, Matt was an investor at Coatue Management, a $25 billion tech-focused hedge fund and private investment firm. Matt joined as a founding member of the venture capital effort, and over his six-year tenure, helped to establish the firm as a premier technology practice with investments including Uber, Meituan, Spotify, Snap, Bytedance, Cerebras, UiPath, Figma, Airtable and many others.

    Before Coatue, Matt was an early team member of Financial Technology Partners. There, he focused on advising companies on mergers and acquisitions.

    Matt is a proud alumnus of the University of Notre Dame, where he received a B.S. in finance and was quarterback on the varsity football team. Matt is a Southern California native, having grown up in Del Mar in San Diego’s north county.

    Diana Zhou

    Diana Zhou

    Diana loves to work with companies tackling hard, complex problems whose solutions change the way we live, work, and move around. She is focused on technologies in mobility, infrastructure, and smart cities and has over a decade of experience in developing go-to-market plans, business strategies and partnerships for heavily regulated industries.

    She previously held various leadership roles at Virgin Hyperloop, where she led go-to-market initiatives to deploy hyperloop transportation projects around the world through public-private partnerships. She also worked on various industry-wide initiatives to pioneer the adoption of a new innovative mode of transportation, including developing a pathway to regulatory approval and access to billions of dollars in federal funding and financing programs. She has been featured as a keynote and speaker at numerous conferences, including South by Southwest, Future Travel Experience, and Hypermotion, and is a member of the Edison Awards Steering Committee. Diana started her career as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman in New York, where she focused on the financial services industry.

    Diana holds an MBA from Wharton and an MPA of International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she received a grant from the Harvard Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation for her research on the development of the electric vehicle industry in China. She received her BA in Economics and International Studies from the University of Chicago.

    Lior Susan

    Lior Susan

    Lior founded Eclipse Ventures to meet the unique and unmet needs of entrepreneurs building full-stack start-ups. He is particularly excited to work with founders who want to bring the full-stack approach to legacy industries and build digital bridges to the physical world. Lior believes that complex problems require multidisciplinary solutions, and he likes to partner with audacious founders with big ideas.

    Prior to launching Eclipse, Lior was Founder and General Partner at LabIX, the hardware investment platform of Flextronics. LabIX brings together startups, OEMs, and technology partners across the entire hardware ecosystem. At LabIX, Lior led investments in companies across: energy storage, wireless/infrastructure, 3-D optics, additive manufacturing, and robotics.

    Lior also co-founded Farm 2050, an AgTech Collective, with Innovation Endeavors to address the global food challenge. Prior to LabIX, he was part of the founding team of Elementum, the Flex proprietary SaaS platform, which was later spun out. Before moving to Silicon Valley, Lior was a serial entrepreneur in Tel Aviv, where he helped build Intucell, which was sold to Cisco in 2012.

    Lior is a (Res) of an elite Special Forces unit in the Israel Defense Force.

    Sarah Ford

    Sarah Ford

    As Director of Administrative Operations, Sarah is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the office, providing high quality administrative services and support in an efficient manner. Sarah is also Executive Assistant to Founding Partner Lior Susan and Early-Growth Partner Matt Mulvey.

    Prior to Eclipse, Sarah worked at Tesla, where she was a Leadership Recruiting Coordinator and then Executive Assistant to the VP of People and Places, supporting an organization of 3,600 employees.

    Sarah graduated cum laude with a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance and computer science from the University of Alabama. Sarah currently lives in Nashville with her husband and two sons.

    Artem Barsukov

    Artem Barsukov

    Artem is fascinated by how technology, coupled with entrepreneurial energy, changes our world. He is driven by an intellectual curiosity to understand what makes technology ventures successful over the long term. Artem started his career at Bain & Company, working on strategy and operations projects in TMT, consumer goods, retail and transportation industries. At Bain, his projects ranged from launching e-commerce operations for a food retailer in Europe to designing commercial strategy for a telecom operator in South Africa. Artem also worked at Airbnb and Coursera in Product Strategy and Business Operations functions.

    He holds a first-class honors B.S. in Economics from the University of London, an M.S. in Finance from the London School of Economics, and an MBA/M.S. in Sustainable Design and Engineering joint-degree from Stanford University. Outside of work, Artem enjoys long-distance running, skydiving, traveling and cooking pancakes for friends.

    Greg Lyon

    Greg Lyon

    Greg oversees all aspects of finance, investment reporting & monitoring, operational, compliance, accounting, and human resource functions at Eclipse and is also involved in fundraising activity of the firm.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Greg worked at Sequoia Capital where he managed financial reporting and operations for funds across the U.S., China, India, and Israel. During his time at Sequoia, Greg was also responsible for developing and reviewing GAAP valuation models for portfolio companies across all geographies.

    Previously, Greg was part of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) audit practice in San Francisco where he focused on financial services clients. In his role with PwC, Greg supervised and trained audit team members and worked with multiple investment management and banking and capital markets clients. Greg graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Sonoma State University. Greg earned his CPA and is a member of the AICPA.

    Lilyann Colton

    Lilyann Colton

    Lily oversees community, events (internal and external), talent, and post-investment portfolio support at Eclipse. She is responsible for overseeing Eclipse’s event program which includes portfolio company sessions, ecosystem events and networking events. In addition, she runs the Eclipse Annual Meeting. She is passionate about supporting Eclipse’s founders in any way she can.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Lily worked as an account manager for an IT staffing company where she managed accounts with leading technology companies, such as Yahoo, NetApp, and Lockheed Martin. Lily graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in Non-Profit Leadership Management and a minor in Special Event Planning. Lily enjoys traveling and cooking new recipes.

    Jannelle Matlock

    Jannelle Matlock

    Jannelle leads investment operations at Eclipse, continuously working to improve processes around deal flow and pipeline management, network engagement, portfolio support, and all other day-to-day operations. She manages Eclipse’s CRM, internal productivity and collaboration tools, while also providing administrative support to the team.

     

    Prior to joining Eclipse, she worked as an account executive for Oracle, managing emerging technology companies. Jannelle graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a concentration in marketing. In her free time, Jannelle enjoys hiking, exploring San Francisco, and weekend trips to Lake Tahoe.

    Laura Spaventa Lewis

    Laura Spaventa Lewis

    Laura is the VP of Marketing at Eclipse. She is passionate about telling the human story behind technology.

    Over the course of her career, Laura has helped shape world-class brands in the form of creative content, PR strategy, messaging, customer marketing, social and digital marketing. Prior to Eclipse, Laura was the Director of Marketing at Unusual Ventures, where she built the brand from the ground up. Laura joined Unusual from AppDynamics and while there, she oversaw the international PR team and strategy leading up to the eventual acquisition of the company by Cisco for $3.7B. Post acquisition, she continued to pursue her love of storytelling and the human-interest piece of technology by building and scaling the customer marketing program at AppDynamics. Earlier in her career, Laura worked at LaunchSquad, a PR agency, which specializes in communications for high-growth startups, and was one of the original editors of Help a Reporter Out (HARO), a robust database of sources for journalists, which was eventually acquired by Vocus (now a part of Cision).

    Originally from outside of Philadelphia, Laura graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Communication and a B.S. in Apparel Merchandising. Outside of work, Laura loves exploring Northern California with her husband and daughter, cooking, reading, hiking and traveling.

    Allyson Johnson

    Allyson Johnson

    Allyson is a VP, Investor Relations at Eclipse. She has spent her career in a variety of international roles within financial services, constantly learning and building relationships.

    Allyson joins from Gateway Partners, an emerging markets investment manager based in Dubai and Singapore, where she led IR and fundraising focused on US institutional investors. Earlier, Allyson worked in Singapore for Saga Tree Capital Advisors, a boutique hedge fund manager, leading investor relations and business development, and serving as interim COO. She began her career at Standard Chartered Bank, where she worked in New York, Singapore and Dubai over the course of 8 years. . Her roles at the bank spanned investment banking, relationship management, and business planning.

    Allyson graduated from Duke University with a BA in Mathematics. She is a CAIA charterholder and has passed the CFA Level II examination. She holds several volunteer leadership roles with 100 Women in Finance. Having lived in five major global cities on three continents, she is pretty obsessed with San Francisco. In her spare time, Allyson loves hiking, playing (learning!) tennis, practicing yoga, cooking, and exploring the Bay Area’s amazing restaurants and wineries.

    Ryan Gibson

    Ryan Gibson

    Ryan is passionate about building generational companies to accelerate the modernization of physical industries alongside world-class, customer-obsessed teams.

    At his core, Ryan is a product-centric engineer with experience building systems at every level from electromagnetics to vertical SaaS. He most recently co-founded and built Agora, the materials procurement platform for modern construction companies. Before building Agora, he shipped v1 and v2 of Microsoft HoloLens, working across a breadth of subsystems focused on device experience and miniaturization. Earlier in his career,  Ryan leveraged his engineering background to help 8VC identify companies with defensible technologies at the cornerstone of their businesses.

    Ryan was raised outside of Toronto, Canada, and has a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. In addition to being an amateur potter, martial artist, and enjoying a good strategy game, he’s in his element when exploring nature, traveling, or learning something new.

    Elena Harper

    Elena is the Head of Editorial at Eclipse. She has spent her career as a storyteller and digital marketing pro, helping brands, companies, and executives build compelling narratives while connecting with key audiences and communities.

    Throughout her career, Elena has always strived to bring a unique depth and perspective to every project or client with whom she has worked. Driven by her passion for digital marketing, social media, and creative content, she was instrumental in building marketing and communications strategies for some of Silicon Valley’s top companies and brands, including Intel, McAfee, and AT&T.

    Before joining Eclipse, Elena co-founded a creative agency, Vantage Point SF, where she worked with various clients in industries ranging from sustainability, fashion, tech, and travel to non-for-profit organizations. Elena’s multi-disciplinary background enabled her to create engaging content by way of video production, social media activations, live in-person events, and everything in between, helping clients achieve critical goals.

    A self-taught photographer, Elena enjoys learning to shoot on film with vintage cameras. Her photography has been featured across local publications, including 7×7 and SFGate. In her free time, she enjoys boxing, reading, and exploring Zoos and aquariums with her son.

    Seth Winterroth

    Seth Winterroth

    Seth has spent his career building and investing in technology solutions that solve physical world problems at scale.

    He began his career at General Electric where he helped develop and implement a variety of robotics, 3D printing, and IOT solutions. At GE he saw first-hand how these technologies could improve operations dramatically — in some cases evolve business models completely. This experience informed his perspective that the coming decades would bring about a new generation of data-driven machine intelligence that will dramatically shift how entire industries operate. With the understanding that many of the companies that will define this new age had yet to be created, he left GE to join Eclipse at inception to build a venture capital firm focused on partnering with the companies driving a new industrial evolution. At Eclipse, Seth partners with founders at the pre-product stage to build enduring, highly differentiated businesses. Over the years he has continued to invest in companies building transformative solutions for the manufacturing, supply chain, transportation, and healthcare industries.

    Seth is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College. He spends his free time enjoying the beautiful NorCal outdoors.

    Erin Ozel

    Erin Ozel

    At Eclipse, Erin is an Executive Assistant covering administrative and organizational duties for her partners as well as travel coordination and prioritization of schedules. She also works with the Marketing team, occasionally providing support through graphic design for Eclipse’s social channels, and marketing assets.

    Before Eclipse, Erin was an Executive Assistant at Dish Network and worked in Finance prior to that. She enjoys fast-paced roles where she gets to be creative and make an impact on those around her.

    Erin was raised in Northern Virginia and went to school at the University of Colorado at Boulder, earning her B.A. in International Affairs with a minor in Urban Planning. She loves skiing in Colorado, reading, and traveling. She is excited to be in the Bay Area with her pug, Nugget, and try all it has to offer.

    Peter Atkin

    Peter Atkin

    Peter is focused on building and investing in companies at the intersection of human behavior and technology. He’s passionate about cognitively informed technologies that enable people to make better decisions, and he looks for companies that promote this symbiosis between humans and computers.

    Prior to Eclipse, Peter was at Deloitte Consulting in the Strategy & Analytics practice. He worked on projects in the TMT sector at companies such as Apple, AT&T, and the WNBA. Operating mostly as a product manager, Peter developed a knack for leading product teams from inception to launch. Before Deloitte, Peter spent time at Duke’s Center for Advanced Hindsight studying the psychological mechanisms that guide user behavior.

    Peter received his B.A. in cognitive science and computer science at Pomona College, where he also played on the varsity basketball team. Peter is originally from New York City and now spends his free time surfing along the California coast.

    Esther Kim

    Esther Kim

    Esther has held various customer service-related positions in her career before starting her role as an office coordinator at ShopRunner in 2017 and quickly becoming an executive assistant and event manager the following year. As a hobby, she also worked as an event coordinator for a boutique wedding-planning company called SQN Events, where she got to be a part of some extravagant weddings and experience her share of crazy, unforgettable moments.

    Esther was born and raised in Chicago, graduating from Illinois State University with a B.A. in Communications. She appreciates meaningful conversations, loves good food, checking out cute cafes, traveling, and hiking with her dog, Arrow. She’s super excited to call the San Francisco Bay Area her new home and explore all that it has to offer.

    Justin Butler

    Justin Butler

    Justin brings to Eclipse a deep understanding of translating basic science into successful commercial operations. He aims to collaborate with founders who are working at the intersection of multiple disciplines, and is particularly interested in novel approaches to complex issues in infrastructure in healthcare and life sciences.

    Prior to joining the investment team at Eclipse, Justin built and led the commercial operations at Misfit, a digital health company acquired by the Fossil Group for more than $250M. Before Misfit, Justin managed the commercialization efforts in the foods, fuels, and chemicals spaces at Synthetic Genomics (SGI), a leading synthetic biology company.

    Justin received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UCSB and his MBA from MIT Sloan. He sits on the Industry Alliance Board of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), and the Commercial Advisory Board of the National Science Foundation Center for Cell Manufacturing Technology (CMat).

    Justin enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and sailing, and leads the Kathryn Butler Foundation in honor of his late wife where he is working to support the needs of those battling cancer, and bereaved children.

    Anja Leon Guerrero

    In her role as Executive Assistant, Anja provides high-level administrative support to three partners at Eclipse. She covers calendar management, travel needs, expense reports, along with maintaining smooth and successful operations for the team. She also fosters Eclipse’s family culture by organizing celebrations, giving gifts, and on-boarding new employees while supporting recruitment and operations at our portfolio companies.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Anja was an Administrative Assistant at Khosla Ventures. She has years of experience supporting C-level executives in a fast-paced environment.

    Anja grew up on the beautiful island of Guam and is currently working towards obtaining a degree in Human Resources and International Management. She enjoys playing rugby, snowboarding and exploring new cities!

    Tim Mertes

    As part of the finance team, Tim manages fund operations and financial reporting for Eclipse.

    Tim previously worked at Standish Management as an Engagement Manager providing fund administration services to various venture capital, real estate, and fund of fund clients. At Standish, he was responsible for managing various fund operations including financial reporting process and other investor correspondence.

    Tim graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California with a B.S in business administration with a concentration in finance.

    Pierre Lamond

    Pierre Lamond

    Pierre Lamond is a pioneer of the semiconductor industry. He started his career in 1957 as an engineer at Transitron Electronics before joining Dr. Gordon E. Moore’s R&D team at Fairchild Semiconductor. While at Fairchild, Pierre oversaw the development of advanced high-frequency transistors and the first generation of digital integrated circuits.

    Pierre left Fairchild in 1967 to cofound the National Semiconductor Corporation (NSM), where he was vice president and general manager, Integrated Circuits. Following CEO roles at Coherent Radiation and Advent, Pierre returned to National Semiconductor in 1977 to assume the role of Chief Technology Officer and VP, General Manager of Advanced Products.

    In 1981, Pierre joined Sequoia Capital as a general partner, where he played a pivotal role in the expansion of the semiconductor, systems, and software portfolios. While at Sequoia, Pierre was chairman of the board at Cypress Semiconductor (CY), Microchip Semiconductor, Vitesse Semiconductor, Open-Silicon Inc., Redback Networks, Verisity, and Plumtree. He was also a director at Mellanox Technologies and Xoom. Pierre ran, on a temporary basis, engineering departments at Cisco Systems (CSCO) and C-Cube.
