    Lani Murphy

    Lani Murphy

    Lani manages finance and accounting operations for Eclipse Ventures.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Lani worked as a Senior Manager at Standish Management providing fund administration support to various private equity and venture capital clients. At Standish, she was responsible for overseeing and coordinating various fund operations including the financial reporting process.

    Lani began her career in the assurance practice at Deloitte where she focused on venture capital audits. She is a CPA and earned her B.S. in Accounting from Santa Clara University.

    Greg Lyon

    Greg Lyon

    Greg oversees all aspects of finance, investment reporting & monitoring, operational, compliance, accounting, and human resource functions at Eclipse and is also involved in fundraising activity of the firm.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Greg worked at Sequoia Capital where he managed financial reporting and operations for funds across the U.S., China, India, and Israel. During his time at Sequoia, Greg was also responsible for developing and reviewing GAAP valuation models for portfolio companies across all geographies.

    Previously, Greg was part of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) audit practice in San Francisco where he focused on financial services clients. In his role with PwC, Greg supervised and trained audit team members and worked with multiple investment management and banking and capital markets clients. Greg graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Sonoma State University. Greg earned his CPA and is a member of the AICPA.

    Jannelle Matlock

    Jannelle Matlock

    Jannelle oversees daily operations at Eclipse, including the management of the weekly investment meetings and supporting PR efforts. Additionally, she provides administrative support to the team. She’s passionate about fostering team culture and wellness, event planning, and communications.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, she worked as an Account Executive for Oracle, managing emerging technology companies. Jannelle graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a concentration in Marketing. In her free time, Jannelle enjoys hiking, exploring San Francisco, and weekend trips to Lake Tahoe.

  • Operating Partner and Head of Investor & Portfolio Relations

    Angela Hayward

    Angela Hayward

    Angela is an Operating Partner at Eclipse managing investor and portfolio relations including fundraising strategy, limited partner relations, company communications, and community outreach. She joined the team from Formation 8.

    Prior to joining Formation 8, Angela was the director of the Stanford Entrepreneurship Network. While there, she mentored Stanford entrepreneurs, developed a robust network of investors and strategic advisors, and led the communications and outreach strategy. Additionally, she was a board member of BASES, the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students.

    Angela joined Stanford from Khosla Ventures, where she was a member of Pierre Lamond’s team, working closely with both the wider investment team and portfolio companies. Angela began her career as a marketing strategist for McCann Worldgroup, where she conducted market and consumer research for such brands as Microsoft, HP, Cathay Pacific, and The Boys and Girls Club of America.

    Pierre Lamond

    Pierre Lamond

    Pierre Lamond is a pioneer of the semiconductor industry. He started his career in 1957 as an engineer at Transitron Electronics before joining Dr. Gordon E. Moore’s R&D team at Fairchild Semiconductor. While at Fairchild, Pierre oversaw the development of advanced high-frequency transistors and the first generation of digital integrated circuits.

    Pierre left Fairchild in 1967 to cofound the National Semiconductor Corporation (NSM), where he was vice president and general manager, Integrated Circuits. Following CEO roles at Coherent Radiation and Advent, Pierre returned to National Semiconductor in 1977 to assume the role of Chief Technology Officer and VP, General Manager of Advanced Products.

    In 1981, Pierre joined Sequoia Capital as a general partner, where he played a pivotal role in the expansion of the semiconductor, systems, and software portfolios. While at Sequoia, Pierre was chairman of the board at Cypress Semiconductor (CY), Microchip Semiconductor, Vitesse Semiconductor, Open-Silicon Inc., Redback Networks, Verisity, and Plumtree. He was also a director at Mellanox Technologies and Xoom. Pierre ran, on a temporary basis, engineering departments at Cisco Systems (CSCO) and C-Cube.

    Pierre spent three years as a general partner at Khosla Ventures, serving on the boards of Skybox Imaging (Google), Cogenra (SunPower), SEEO (Bosch), Avogy, SeaMicro (AMD), and HeartVista.

    Lior Susan

    Lior Susan

    Lior founded Eclipse Ventures to meet the unique and unmet needs of entrepreneurs building full-stack start-ups. He is particularly excited to work with founders who want to bring the full-stack approach to legacy industries and build digital bridges to the physical world. Lior believes that complex problems require multidisciplinary solutions, and he likes to partner with audacious founders with big ideas.

    Prior to launching Eclipse, Lior was Founder and General Partner at LabIX, the hardware investment platform of Flextronics. LabIX brings together startups, OEMs, and technology partners across the entire hardware ecosystem. At LabIX, Lior led investments in companies across: energy storage, wireless/infrastructure, 3-D optics, additive manufacturing, and robotics.

    Lior also co-founded Farm 2050, an AgTech Collective, with Innovation Endeavors to address the global food challenge. Prior to LabIX, he was part of the founding team of Elementum, the Flex proprietary SaaS platform, which was later spun out. Before moving to Silicon Valley, Lior was a serial entrepreneur in Tel Aviv, where he helped build Intucell, which was sold to Cisco in 2012.

    Lior is a (Res) of an elite Special Forces unit in the Israel Defense Force.

    Mike McNamara

    Mike McNamara

    Mike’s experience building and scaling complex global operations has made him a sought-after mentor for full-stack startup founders. His dedication to system-level reinvention is most evidenced in the field of manufacturing and supply chain, however Mike also has substantial experience in a broad array of industries including automotive, cleantech, and medical technology. While best known for his achievements as a Fortune 500 CEO, Mike’s passion for grassroots innovation combined with his ability to identify and work with best-in-class teams make him the perfect partner for creative entrepreneurs pursuing big visions.

    Mike spent 12 years as Chief Executive Officer of Flex, one of the world’s largest, multinational technology manufacturing companies. He joined Flex in 1994 through the company’s acquisition of Relevant Industries, Inc., a venture-backed, Silicon Valley start-up where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer.  At the time of the acquisition, Flex had $150M in revenue. Mike joined the executive team and was instrumental in the company’s growth to over $25B in revenue and over 200,000 employees operating in 30+ countries. He became Chief Operating Officer in 2001 and Chief Executive Officer in 2006; over that time Mike bought, integrated, and/or managed over 70 acquisitions including the $11B acquisition of Solectron. Furthermore, Mike created numerous companies in a variety of industries and technologies.

    Prior to his time at Flex, Mike was Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Anthem Electronics and Principal at Pittiglio, Rabin, Todd & McGrath. Earlier in his career he held a variety of leadership positions at Intel and Ford Motor Company.

    Mike serves on the Board of Directors of Workday and was previously on the boards of many other companies including Delphi, Sunedison, and Therasense. He is a member of the advisory board of Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management and has served on the Presidential CEO Advisory Board of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Sloan School of Management Visiting Committee. Mike has been a frequent guest lecturer at both schools for many years.

    Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

    Greg Reichow

    Greg Reichow

    Greg is drawn to early-stage, technical teams tackling complex hardware problems.

    He has spent his career building and leading teams to help scale multifaceted products from initial concept to high-volume production. Greg was Tesla’s executive leader of global manufacturing, factory/automation engineering, supply chain, and product excellence. While at Tesla, he led growth from low-volume Roadster production to the fully integrated manufacturing of the Model S and X and a revenue run rate exceeding $8B.

    Prior to Tesla, Greg was the Senior Vice President of Operations at SunPower and led the growth of manufacturing operations from pilot scale to more than $2B in annual revenue. In this role, he was responsible for the rapid implementation and growth of advanced silicon, cell, and panel manufacturing operations globally. Earlier in his career, Greg held various roles in manufacturing and quality in the semiconductor industry.

    Greg has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Outside of work, Greg enjoys developing software, diving, and mountain biking.

    Lilyann Troy

    Lilyann Troy

    Lily oversees a breadth of community events at Eclipse including portfolio company sessions, network gatherings and team volunteer events. In addition, she runs the Eclipse Annual Meeting. Lily is also responsible for digital media and manages Eclipse’s social media accounts. She is passionate about supporting the Eclipse portfolio in any way she can.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Lily worked as an account manager for an IT staffing company where she managed accounts with leading technology companies, such as Yahoo, NetApp, and Lockheed Martin. Lily graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. Lily enjoys traveling and cooking new recipes.

    Seth Winterroth

    Seth Winterroth

    Seth invests in technology companies at the nexus of human-computer interaction. We are entering a new generation of machine intelligence and Seth believes that compute systems, in a number of different form factors, embedded in the physical world will dramatically shift how humans live their lives. He has a deep focus on integrated systems that improve the movement of people and goods; additionally, Seth is eager to build products that help consumers quantify and improve their wellness. He believes fervently that the greatest companies the world has ever seen are yet to be created, and there has never been a better time to begin building.

    Previously, Seth was at GE Ventures where he invested in industrial hardware technologies focusing on robotics, additive manufacturing, and industrial IOT. Seth is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College. He spends his free time enjoying the beautiful NorCal outdoors.

    Adam Bryant

    Adam Bryant

    Adam enjoys developing operational solutions that efficiently accelerate the impact of purposeful technology. He has spent his career solving complex problems across disciplines, building multiple viewpoints around some of the primary challenges organizations face when scaling.

    Most recently, Adam was Director of Customer Programs at Proterra, an electric bus company focused on delivering clean and quiet transport for the masses. He led all customer program management and developed configuration processes needed to ramp sales order velocity through internal operations.

    Prior to Proterra, Adam held several roles at Tesla where he first managed all FP&A activities for the vehicle manufacturing organization. Adam later served as Director of Manufacturing where he led engineering, maintenance, and production teams to drive significant increases in Model S and Model X throughput within the heavily automated and capital-intensive body shop. Finally, he directed production control teams responsible for all internal planning and material flow logistics.

    Adam began his career at GE Aviation, designing jet and helicopter engine hardware for the military. After completing a rotational program through various engineering and manufacturing roles, he designed the variable guide vane system for the GE38 engine powering the CH53K helicopter.

    Adam holds a B.S. summa cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an M.S. summa cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Adam enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and taking advantage of all the west coast has to offer.

    Anja Leon Guerrero

    Anja Leon Guerrero

    In her role as Office Manager, Anja ensures the smooth running of the Eclipse calendars and facilities. She is the point of contact for all guests and inquires. Anja also provides executive support to several Eclipse partners ensuring schedules and travel are well maintained.

    Prior to joining Eclipse, Anja was an Administrative Assistant at Khosla Ventures. She has years of experience supporting C-level executives in a fast-paced environment.

    Anja grew up on the beautiful island of Guam and is currently working towards obtaining a degree in Human Resources and International Management. She enjoys playing rugby, snowboarding and exploring new cities!

    Justin Butler

    Justin Butler

    Justin brings to Eclipse a deep understanding of translating basic science into successful commercial operations. His passion for full-stack investing stems from the belief that disparate hardware and software creates significant friction, and frustration, for users. He likes to collaborate with founders who design integrated, elegant solutions resulting in a more seamless — and useful — experience for the end user. Justin is particularly interested in novel approaches to complex issues such as healthcare, multilayer security, and distributed computation systems to support artificial intelligence.

    Prior to joining the investment team at Eclipse, Justin built and led the commercial operations at Misfit, a digital health company acquired by the Fossil Group for more than $250M. Before Misfit, Justin managed the commercialization efforts in the foods, fuels, and chemicals spaces at Synthetic Genomics (SGI), a leading synthetic biology company.

    At SGI, Justin’s efforts led to first-in-class technology development, licensing, and commercialization deals with ADM and other Fortune 100 food and chemicals companies.

    Justin received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UCSB and his MBA from MIT Sloan. Justin is an avid cyclist and triathlete and serves on the advisory board of CycleKids, a nonprofit focused on strengthening the physical and emotional health of children.

    Sanjay Jha

    Sanjay Jha

    Sanjay’s passion for innovation and entrepreneurship is the common theme throughout his career. His broad-based technology and executive experience coupled with his tenure as corporate venture leader, as well as his angel investing activity, make him uniquely qualified to work with technical founding teams.

    Most recently, Sanjay was Chief Executive Officer of GlobalFoundries Inc. the world’s second largest semiconductor foundry business. Prior to joining GlobalFoundries, Sanjay was Chief Executive Officer for the Motorola Mobile Devices business, a role he held until the company’s acquisition by Google. Before joining Motorola, Sanjay was Chief Operating Officer of Qualcomm and president of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies. As COO, he oversaw Corporate Research & Development and Qualcomm Flarion Technologies, in addition to his role as president of QCT, the chipset and software division of Qualcomm.

    Sanjay began his career at Qualcomm in 1994 as a senior engineer with the very-large-scale integration group working on the Globalstar satellite phone and the first 13k vocoder application-specific integrated circuit, which was integrated into Qualcomm’s MSM2200 chipset. He was promoted to vice-president of engineering where he was responsible for leading the integrated-circuit engineering group. He led and oversaw the development of five generations of modem and cell site chipsets, both digital baseband and RF (radio frequency), and system software.
    In 2002, Sanjay led the formation of Qualcomm Technologies & Ventures, where he managed both the technology investment portfolio and the new technology group as senior vice-president and general manager.

    Sanjay was a member of the board of directors for the Semiconductor Industry Association and also served as vice-chairman of the Global Semiconductor Alliance. Additionally, he is a member of the board of trustees of UC San Diego and the Salk Institute.

    Sanjay holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.

    Ben Einstein

    Ben Einstein

    Ben Einstein is an experienced product designer and investor. He currently serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Eclipse Ventures. Previously, Ben was the founding General Partner at Bolt, a seed-stage venture capital firm investing in companies at the intersection of hardware and software. Prior to starting Bolt, Ben ran a product design and development consultancy. Ben has been directly responsible for bringing a long list of products to market covering diverse sectors including consumer electronics, high-performance audio, sporting goods and clean tech.
